About Me

Who is Anthony Gardiner?

A great interest in art was with me from a young age, it was only at the age of 12 that I discovered the art of photography. At this point in time I enrolled at Derwentside College and took a GSCE in the subject in the form of a night course while studying during the day at school. I passed this with a B making me the youngest person to enrol and pass at this level of photography. After taking a two year break to concentrate on my school studies I enrolled once more at Derwentside College and passed my A level. Again another break was required to undertake my other A levels, yet once this was done in 2005 I enrolled at Newcastle College to do a Foundation Degree in Photographic Practices. It was during this time that I realised that it was landscape photography that I wished to pursue in the future and after some successful group exhibitions at the college itself, Details and The Cluney, I graduated from the course. Later in 2007 I exhibited work in The Art Rooms in Castleside, alongside other local artists, then I launched the website and joined Northumbria university to do the BA Hons in Contemporary Photographic Practices....

............. My weapon of choice is a Nikon D200, usually with a Sigma 10-20mm EX DC lens attached, but the Nikon AF-s 18-70mm and Sigma APO DG 70-300mm sometimes get their turn too. As for software all editing work is done in Photoshop CS2, just to be sure everythin is perfect.
